MOTOR DIAMETER: Any diameter motors (that have a 40-30mm bolt spacing pattern) will fit on the enertion propulsion kits, however for a motor with diameter greater than 50mm the bash plate must be raised to provide extra clearance. You may also need to add extra truck risers to give further deck clearance.
NOTE: BASH PLATE NO LONGER USED
RAISING BASH PLATE: is easy to do using some washers & slightly longer screws (not provided). The bash plate is not necessarily required & could be left off your K1 or K2 kit, the enertion motor cantilevers are super strong & will not move around, however no bash plate means your motors can get BASHED!
MOTOR LENGTH: For dual rear mounted motor configuration, as is intended for use on the K1 & K2 kit, you are only limited by the length of each motor body. They cannot be longer than 64mm (measured from the face where threaded holes are located for mounting - to the tip of the axle/motor body at opposite end). This is because the Face-to-face distance between each motor mounting plate when mounted on enertion trucks or caliber trucks is 128mm.
DIAGONAL DRIVE & SINGLE MOTOR: If you configure your electric skateboard to have diagonal drive or just one single motor there is no limit to the length of the motor, so in theory you can mount the longest, fattest motor available that has 32-25mm bolt spacing pattern.
WHAT MOTOR SHOULD I BUY?: The enertion R-SPEC Motor is the best motor we have ever used for electric skateboards.
